Market research permits the use of online surveys for collecting data, provided that the target group can be reached via the internet. If that is possible, online enquiries cover all types of questions, e.g.:

Method
Sample
In order to obtain reliable results that also extend to subgroups, as many respondents as possible ought to be questioned. As a means to measure significant differences between the subgroups, each subgroup should consists of about 200 participants.
For a representative sample the enquiry has to be online at least for a week; this increases the likelihood to reach and include persons who are rarely online.
Timing
The total project will span approximately 3 to 4 weeks, if the field phase takes a week.
