Gruner & Jahr: Development of travel community portal

For the publishing house “Gruner + Jahr” SirValUse accompanied the development process for the relaunch of the travel portal „GEO-Reisecommunity“ with several user experience tests. The aim of this approach was to investigate the „GEO-Reisecommunity“’s website in terms of usability, utility, and user experience during its stages of development. In addition to this the findings could be incorporated in the process of development.

The user experience tests were already conducted from a very early stage in the development process with an interactive online-prototype. Based on this early testing we could identify the main usability issues and needs for optimisation and were able to elaborate specific and realisable recommendations in collaboration with the project- and development team.
Due to this proceeding a user-friendly design of the website - based on the users’ demands, could be assured to the time of launch.
