T-Com

In order to optimise the web site www.t-com.de several usability tests have already been conducted for T-Com. Applications from different sections, for instance e-commerce offers, intelligent search engines, etc., were investigated. The particular challenge of the T-Com web site consists of explaining the complex technical issues connected with T-Com products to the customers.

T-Com's extensive range of products and their complex technical particulars place high demands on the user that are intensified by the partly unavoidable technical jargon. For this reason, the web site's structural design must respond to the users' increased need for information by means of an adapted navigation structure.

Based on the results of several User Experience Tests the web site could be optimised, so that explanations regarding complex technical issues can now be accessed even more rapidly. The web site's overall comprehensibility could be improved further by newly arranging and renaming important navigation elements in compliance with the customers' needs. Clearer structures within textual elements helped to highlight information that may be of fundamental importance to the user.
